The Pro iESL headphone energiser from iFi promises to make the most of electrostatic headphones.
It is claimed to deliver audio signals that are fully optimised for electrostatic headphones, such as the Stax or KingSound, or Sennheiser’s Orpheus. The Pro iESL can also be used to ‘transformer-couple’ high-end dynamic headphones to enhance sound quality.
The product features hand-wound permalloy core transformers for ultra-wide bandwidth and ultra-low distortion, a capacitive battery power supply, and top-quality components.
