Samsung is announcing its Samsung Design Identity 5.0, its new design identity for Samsung Electronics, at Milan Design Week from 16-21 April.
The manufacturer’s vision is based on three key pillars: Essential, Innovative and Harmonious; its new design identity is the fifth in the company’s history, and its first update in five years.
“Design must fully take the human experience into consideration, and Samsung’s design principles achieve this,” said TM Roh, President and Head of Corporate Design Center at Samsung Electronics. “With our human-centered design philosophy, we aim to create a future that harmonises with the lives of our customers through innovation with purpose.”
Samsung’s “Newfound Equilibrium” vision is being revealed through an exhibition in Milan, and showcases an inspiring vision for a better future that encompasses the balance between people and technology.
The company stated that it “reflects the rapidly changing advances in technology in the era of AI, with increased focus on innovation bringing genuine value to people’s lives.”
Samsung has applied this to its recently announced products, including: the Neo QLED 8K TV, the Music Frame and the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo 3-in-1 robot vacuum.
