Toshiba launches new TVs in the UK
The brand announces its first Quantum Dot and Fire TV models
Toshiba has introduced a whole new line-up of TVs – with five brand-new models launching this month. We will see the brand’s first Quantum Dot TV as well as its first smart TVs with Fire TV built-in.
Firstly, the QA5D TV (pictured above) has been launched, available in 43, 50, 55 and 65-inch sizes. Toshiba’s first Quantum Dot TV offers intense colour and cinematic picture quality, harnessing the brand’s full TRU Picture Engine, including TRU Resolution powerful upscaling, TRU Micro Dimming and TRU Flow MEMC technology, as well as Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, delivering extraordinary big screen moments at home.
With Sound by Onkyo, the QA5D is also powered by the Android TV operating system, with Chromecast built-in, and Google Assistant can be accessed via a mic in the Bluetooth remote. There’s also the usual apps: Apple TV+, Disney+, Freeview Play, Netflix, Prime Video, Twitch and YouTube available from Google Play.
The UF3D comes in the same screen sizes, and this is the first Toshiba smart TV with Fire TV built-in to launch in the UK. This 4K UHD model offers the full TRU Picture Engine, Dolby Vision, HDR10, Dolby Atmos and Sound by Onkyo.
With Fire TV built-in, customers have access through the easy-to-use home screen to hundreds of thousands of films and TV series through all the usual apps.
The UK4D – also in the same sizes – has a frameless design and is powered by Toshiba’s own operating system, with Alexa built-in. It has a 4K UHD HDR10 panel with full TRU Picture Engine, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos to bring impressive visuals to the home.
The UA3D – coming in 43, 50 and 55-inch sizes, is an Android TV offering people who have an existing Google Home set-up, the choice to integrate a Google powered TV into their smart home set up.
This model sits below the flagship QA5D in the range as the second Android option, offering quality 4K UHD HDR10 entertainment, powered by TRU Picture Engine, Dolby Vision and Sound by Onkyo.
The LK3C – available in 32 and 43-inch sizes – is Toshiba’s new small screen Alexa built-in TV model, with crisp, punchy full HD visuals utilising HDR10, Toshiba’s TRU Resolution and TRU Micro Dimming technology with Dolby Audio Processing.
Toshiba has also announced the launch of TikTok TV across its whole new TV range and available for download on all models released since 2019 in the UK.
