Spear & Jackson is expanding its consumer electronics offering with the launch of its first air purifier, the Air Zone SJAZP1.
This is the gardening and hand tool brand’s first foray into the air purifier category, and the SJAZP1 has been designed with the very latest technology and has a range of enhanced features for cleaner, healthier air quality indoors. It is scientifically proven to eliminate 99.9 per cent of bacteria and viruses from the air, the company said, including COVID-19, effectively removing pollen, dust mites, mould spores and smoke from a room of up to 50 square metres.
A washable ‘lifetime’ filter is one of the standout features of the Air Zone Air Purifier, removing the need for the regular purchase of replacement filters, offering a significant cost saving over the life of the unit.
Other features include an air quality indicator, so you can monitor the air quality in your room; a filter cleaning indicator that prompts when it’s time to clean the reusable filter; a user-friendly control panel with helpful voice prompts for clear and easy operation; two turbo fans for quiet and efficient operation; and there’s an automatic safety cut off.
The unit comes with a choice of four operating modes:
- Bacteria Mode – designed to kill 99.9 per cent of airborne bacteria and viruses;
- Smart Mode – automatically increases the speed of the fan when air quality levels deteriorate, lowering the speed when air quality in the room returns to an acceptable level;
- Dust Mode – rapidly boosts the cleaning process when air quality deteriorates to potentially hazardous levels;
- Silent Mode – keeps working quietly for undisturbed sleep.
The Air Zone Air Purifier is a Static Charge Ion purifier. It works by electrostatically charging and killing airborne bacteria and viruses. Passing pollutants are captured at the rear of unit and neutralised. The neutralised pollutants stick to the single reusable filter and clean air is released back into the room from the front of the unit.
Spear & Jackson UK Managing Director, Ian Archer, said: “Clean air is more important than ever to keep our indoor spaces free from bacteria and viruses, so we’re pleased to be adding the new Air Zone Air Purifier to the growing range of Spear & Jackson consumer electronics.”
