Sharp unveils Smart Home line-up and Stealth Steam Oven range
Sharp Home Appliances unveiled its new Smart Home range at IFA this year – designed to deliver “a seamless and streamlined experience”, the brand said.
Remotely controllable with the Sharp Home application, the series offers interoperability and specialist technologies to help customers save time and skip steps when doing everything from the laundry to preparing the evening meal.
Headlining the new range is the Sharp Laundry Management System, which consists of the A-rated 9Kg Smart Washing Machine and A+++ rated 9Kg Heat Pump Tumble Dryer.
Finished with matching super-size black tinted portals, these stackable products are designed to team up, and exchange data whenever a smart wash and tumble dry is required.
Taking on more of the programming think work, they automatically calculate and then set the ideal tumble dryer cycle, based on the size of the wash load, as well as the washing machine programme selected.

There’s also a speedy 12-minute cycle, with its Steam function, boosts the intensity of the Hygiene wash with steam, reducing the need for any post-wash ironing in the process.
The tumble dryer saves yet more time and energy, coming with a quick 30-minute cycle and removable 3DRack Drying Rack on which delicate items, such as soft toys can be placed for safe, tumble-free drying.
Like the rest of the Sharp Smart Home range, both products are designed to flex around individual lifestyles and can be set, paused and cancelled using the Sharp Home app.
Elsewhere, Sharp has launched the extra-large capacity 78-litre Smart Built-in Oven, which promises to deliver ultimate cooking automation.
Thanks to its integration with recipe platform, Innit, the oven is able to calculate and set the ideal cooking conditions for hundreds of customisable Innit recipes, when synced with the Innit app through a Sharp Home account.
Other noteworthy smart products in the range include the 481-Litre Combi Fridge/freezer, with its D energy rating, remotely controllable Eco and Holiday modes, and adjustable “slide and hide” shelving. Also, the new 14-place Setting Dishwasher offers ultra-fast dishwashing with 15 and 30-minute cycles, the model ensures more targeted cleaning with features, such as AquaGlide, which can channel water up into cup interiors, or into the bottom basket for intensive cleaning.
And in cooking, the IFA showcase also featured the Stealth Steam Built-in Oven range. Headlined by the KA-74Z68BNH Multifunctional Built-in Oven, the series encompasses a trio of 78-Litre capacity models – with AquaAssist+ functions, Sharp said they can give any cook “the ultimate culinary advantage”!
Automatically adding water to the bottom of the cavity, it creates a water bath to keep dishes as well as baking from drying out.
Steam-assisted functions offer further support with manual as well as automatic steam shots to retain dishes’ moisture, and a steam-based self-cleaning oven cycle.
Head of the MDA Product Line at Sharp, Seçkin Gençoğlu, commented: “We’re excited to be back at IFA with a range that we believe can make real differences to everyday life at home.
“Maximising the functionality on offer within sustainable designs, this next generation of products can do more in less time, but without complicating the user experience. It’s this simplicity, this seamless operation and automation that set the products apart, enabling them to free up customers’ time, while simultaneously optimising cleaning as well as cooking outcomes.”
