Ruark Audio launches its first subwoofer

Ruark Audio has announced the introduction of its powerful and versatile sound system to date, with the launch of its RS1 subwoofer – it has a Lead Grey cabinet cloth finish with Rich Walnut top and bottom panels.

The subwoofer has a 100W RMS Class D amplifier with soft clipping filter, which was installed to protect the system from overloading, the speaker will also turn itself on and off automatically as required.

Alan O’Rourke, Managing Director of Ruark, said: “We developed RS1 due to the demand from our customers seeking a companion subwoofer for our award-winning MR1 Bluetooth speakers. Alone, MR1’s produce a remarkable sound, but with RS1 the sound they produce takes on a new dimension, with deep controlled bass you can feel and groove to.”

The specification of the RS1 subwoofer include; a frequency response range of 25Hz – 200Hz, sub-input via Mono RCA input (up to 2.3Vrms), it is also H300 x W250 x D265mm in size and weighs 6.7kg.

The manufacturer explained that its speaker has been created to enable consumers to sit comfortably within their home whilst enjoying their favourite music.
