Always with a dominating presence at IFA Berlin, Samsung Electronics has announced it is showcasing its latest energy-efficient appliance line-up for the European market.
The new product range includes a Bespoke AI Washer with A-55 per cent extra energy efficiency, a Bespoke AI Laundry Combo that achieves an A rating for the complete cycle, and an A-10 per cent Bespoke Dishwasher. The tech giant said it has improved its core technologies to respond to consumer needs for better ways to save energy in everyday life.
“Samsung has a long track record of bringing its energy-efficient line-up to European markets, and IFA is an ideal setting for showcasing these solutions,” said Moohyung Lee, EVP and Head of the Customer Experience Team for Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics. “We expect that the new models will be the right choice for customers who are seeking extra energy efficiency at home.”
First up, there’s the Bespoke AI Washer. Planned for launch next year, it consumes up to 55 per cent less energy than the minimum energy efficiency requirements for a Class A rating. This is achieved through a range of features, notably the Bubble Shot, which pulls soapy water through the circulation pump and sprays it on top of the laundry inside the drum. This makes washing more effective by drenching the laundry more easily and allowing the detergent to penetrate clothing evenly. It combines with Ecobubble and algorithms to enhance extra energy efficiency.
An important addition is AI Home – a seven-inch LCD control touchscreen on the device where users can quickly choose their laundry cycle, but also receive personalised washing recommendations.
Also in Berlin, Samsung will display the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, combining a washer and a dryer in a single machine, achieving an A rating across the entire washing and drying cycle with an A-20 per cent for washing – the highest level in Samsung’s combo line-up in Europe.
In addition, Heatpump Drying technology dries clothes quickly, gently and efficiently at low temperatures, and to contribute to the appliance’s high energy rating, Bubble Shot Technology is also implemented.
Lastly, Samsung’s new Bespoke Dishwasher will also be on show at IFA. Its WaterJet Clean system has rotating dual wash arms and an All-in-one Sump module, using only 7.9 litres of water, while the Active Fan Dry system blows gentle and moderate wind using two fans on the walls of the tub during drying. Since this wind helps evaporate moisture, less latent heat is required from the rinsing water.
All this technology plays an important role in delivering the dishwasher’s enhanced energy efficiency. Visitors can see these products in the Samsung hall at IFA, which kicks off on Friday (6 September).
