For drinks on the go: Smeg unveils new personal blender

Smeg has introduced an all-new personal blender. Evolving from the existing BLF01 blender and standing at 335mm high and 142mm wide, the new condensed design sits neatly on worktops and provides a compact and convenient way to whip up shakes, smoothies, soups and juices.

A nod towards a greener future, Smeg has also introduced Tritan Renew bottles with the new appliance, made from 50 per cent certified recycled content, crafted through Eastman’s molecular recycling technologies, breaking down plastic waste into fundamental building blocks to create new materials.

The PBF01 personal blender is complete with two speed levels, and a double blade and 300W power motor also allows fruit and veg to be blended instantly – before users head out with the accompanying 600ml Bottle-To-Go with its cap and spout.

Designed to not absorb odours or flavours, a diverse range of drinks can be produced with no risk of strawberry shakes tasting of yesterday’s carrot and coriander soup.

Curved and compact, but also following the BLF01’s look and matching with the brand’s range of ‘50s inspired small domestic appliances, the PBF01 boasts Smeg’s unmistakable retro style. The blender is available in seven colours, and the collection features pastel shades of pink, green and blue to co-ordinate with the array of colourful fruit and vegetables it blends.

For those looking for bold additions to their kitchen, the model is also available in black, white, red or cream. A chrome base and steel-coloured details combine the nostalgic style with a contemporary look.
