An innovative Bertazzoni induction hob with integrated extraction has received a Good Design Award in recognition of its style and functionality.
The P804ICH2M37NT 80cm induction cooktop with integrated hood, designed in collaboration with Valerio Cometti Studio, was chosen in the Kitchen/Appliances category from a jury of experts charged with selecting the products that stand out most for their design quality, innovation, materials, functionality and aesthetics.
Presented by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in collaboration with the European Center for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies, the accolade follows the products’ recent success in the kitchen category of the Archiproducts Design Awards.
Established in Chicago in 1950, Good Design Awards are given to the most innovative products of the year and the award-winning products are permanently exhibited within the Chicago Athenaeum.
Bertazzoni is a six-generation, family-owned Italian manufacturer of award-winning appliances and the P804ICH2M37NT hob was released during it’s 140th anniversary year in 2022.
Combining two appliances in one, it delivers energy-efficient cooking complemented by ventilation at the source.
With four cooking zones, each with nine power levels plus a booster function it is equipped with multi-zone technology that allows several cooking zones to be combined into a single larger zone with the same power setting.
The integrated hood, with 10 speed selections and 100 per cent safe automatic extraction control against leakage, has a power output of 640 m3/h and eliminates odors and fumes while being extremely quiet even at maximum power. Once switched on, it can automatically adjust its speed according to the power used during cooking thanks to the ‘Automatic Operation’ function.
Maurizio Severgnini, managing director at Bertazzoni UK and Ireland, said: “As a proud producer of award-winning appliances we never take any accolade for granted.
“Our appliances have always been designed to help people bring the best home-cooked meals to the family table, so to have received a Good Design Award for our new induction hob with integrated extraction is humbling recognition of this commitment.”
