Hughes Trade has relocated one of its largest branches, from Rayleigh in Essex to brand new premises in nearby Southend.

The new branch is on The Quad Business Park, just off the A127, and six members of staff and two HGVs are based there serving customers in Essex, Kent and around the M25.

Hughes Trade Director, Paul Chisnall, said: “Our new Southend branch means we now have over 5,000 sq ft of space available, and the unit is finished to an incredibly high standard giving staff a much better working environment.

“It means we can hold more stock for immediate delivery. Customers can also place orders in the evening for collection the following day.”

Hughes Trade’s new branch will be managed by John Scofield, who has been with the company since 2009.

“Although we traded from nearby Rayleigh for many years, we are looking forward to getting to know and serve the business community in Southend and have installed a freezer to enable us to offer complimentary ice creams to customers throughout the summer,” explained Mr Scofield.

Hughes Trade also offers business rental which is an increasingly attractive option, with huge advantages such as managing cash flow, taking the worry out of anything going wrong, while for many organisations it can be 100 per cent tax deductible. There can also be flexibility in changing products with the needs of business and the length of the rental agreement.

The retailer stocks a range of products from essential kitchen appliances, TVs and audio-visual technology.
