Hoover is backing British racing driver Thomas Holland as he targets the British GT Championship title with two rounds of the season remaining.

The appliance brand has supported Holland throughout the season, with Hoover branding featuring on his race car as he competes in the championship.

Mr Holland currently sits second in the standings on 104.5 points, with the final two rounds taking place at Donington Park on 5-6 September and Brands Hatch on 26-27 September.Hoover sponsorship GT

The partnership is being used by Hoover to highlight the links between motorsport and the appliance industry, including engineering, reliability, precision and performance.

Jim McEwan, Managing Director UK & Ireland at Haier UK, said: “We saw an opportunity to get behind a British talent at an exciting stage of his journey.

“There are clear parallels between motorsport and what we do at Hoover. Precision engineering, reliability and performance are essential to success, making this a natural platform to bring those values to life.”

Mr Holland’s championship challenge continued at Snetterton despite an engine failure forcing the Hoover-backed car to retire from Race Two.

The setback followed victory in Race One, while the team completed an engine turnaround in just 36 hours. Holland remains second in the championship heading into its closing stages.

“My focus for the rest of the season is to keep building on the progress we’ve made so far, deliver consistently and give ourselves the best possible chance of finishing the championship at the top,” Mr Holland said.

“Every race is another opportunity to learn and improve, so I’m really looking forward to the final three rounds.”

Hoover has also used the partnership away from the circuit, producing behind-the-scenes content and race weekend updates while creating opportunities for customers, business partners, employees and motorsport fans to engage with Mr Holland and the team.

The sponsorship forms part of Hoover’s wider involvement in sport, while giving the appliance brand a platform to promote its focus on engineering, innovation and performance.

With the championship approaching its conclusion, Mr Holland will now head to Donington Park before the season finale at Brands Hatch later this month.
