Haier has once again solidified its position as a global leader in major appliances, being named the number one brand by sales volume for 2024 by Euromonitor International. This marks the 16th consecutive year the company has claimed the top spot worldwide.
The latest data from Euromonitor highlights Haier’s leadership in key appliance categories:
- Refrigerators: Haier has been the world’s No. 1 brand in sales volume for 17 consecutive years;
- Home Laundry: The brand remains the top brand globally for 16 consecutive years;
- Freezers: Haier continues to lead as the No. 1 brand for 14 consecutive years;
- Electric Wine Coolers/Chillers: The manufacturer has held the top position for 15 consecutive years.
Global expansion
Haier is also intensifying its global expansion efforts, increasing its investments in both supply chain and brand development in 2024:
- In Thailand: Haier has begun construction of a new air conditioning industrial park, which will become the largest air conditioning production facility for a Chinese brand in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
- In Egypt: Haier opened the first phase of its Egypt Eco Park and laid the foundation for its second phase, boosting Haier’s growth and brand leadership in Egypt and the broader Middle East and North Africa region.
Additionally, Haier continues to broaden its global footprint through strategic acquisitions. In 2024, Haier Smart Home successfully acquired Electrolux’s South African water heater brand, Kwikot, and Carrier Commercial Refrigeration (CCR), opening new growth opportunities and positioning Haier for continued success in 2025 and beyond.
