Franke UK has unveiled the award-winning Mythos 2gether Slide hob extractor, a premium appliance that combines induction cooking and powerful extraction.
Winner of the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2026, the Mythos 2gether Slide has been created for homeowners looking to achieve a clean, contemporary kitchen without compromising on performance. By combining a four-zone induction hob with an integrated extractor, it removes the need for a traditional overhead cooker hood, making it ideal for open-plan living, kitchen islands and modern family spaces.
At the heart of the design is Franke‘s patented automatic vent opening system – the only technology of its kind currently available and offering a hands-free experience for the user. When extraction is required, the central vent opens automatically to reveal the extraction zone before closing neatly away when no longer in use, maintaining the hob’s sleek, minimalist appearance.
Crafted from premium matt black glass, the 83cm wide hob features a sophisticated low-reflection finish that is both stylish and practical. Silky to the touch, the durable matt surface offers enhanced scratch resistance while helping to reduce the appearance of fingerprints and everyday marks, making it easier to keep clean.
Designed to make everyday cooking simpler, the Mythos 2gether Slide features four induction cooking zones, including dual Flexi zones that can be combined to accommodate larger pots and pans. Independent touch multi-slider controls allow precise adjustment of both the cooking zones and extractor, while Ghost Effect white LED controls remain hidden when the hob is switched off, preserving its elegant, minimalist appearance.
The integrated extraction system removes steam, grease and cooking odours directly from the cooking surface, helping to create a fresher, more comfortable kitchen environment. Powerful extraction performance is combined with optimised noise levels, allowing conversations to continue uninterrupted while cooking.
