Electrical Safety First (ESF) has announced that entries are now open for it’s Safety Innovation Award 2024; its annual award celebrates innovative projects and products that protect consumers from electrical hazards.
Recognising and rewarding great ideas to help protect consumers against electrical dangers, the annual Safety Innovation Award is free to enter. The project or product doesn’t need to be complete – it can be in the creation or prototype stage.
Previous winners include:
- HobSensus: A safety device that turns kitchen hobs off when left unattended.
- SmartLINK Gateway: A system that keeps homeowners and landlords up to date with the status of their alarm systems.
- E-Bulb: The world’s smallest fire extinguisher.
The deadline for entries is Friday 30 August. The winner will be announced at Electrical Safety First’s annual Electrical Product Safety Conference on 21 November, where they will have a platform to discuss their innovation.
