Haier Smart Home UK & Ireland and National Sales Account Manager Dan Heath have both been shortlisted at the BKU Awards 2026, marking double recognition for the brand in one of the UK KBB sector’s most respected award programmes.

Haier has been named a finalist in the Best Appliance Brand category, while Dan Heath is nominated for Best Sales Representative.

The BKU Awards celebrate the brands and individuals shaping the future of the bathroom and kitchen market, with winners decided exclusively by industry vote. Voting is now open and closes on 16 March, with finalists announced on 31 March.

Haier’s nomination reflects its continued investment in innovation, sustainability and retailer support, as well as its growing presence in the UK kitchen retail channel.

The recognition follows confirmation that Haier has once again been named the world’s number one major appliance brand by sales volume, according to Euromonitor International – marking its 17th consecutive year at the top.

The brand continues to strengthen its global profile through high-profile sports partnerships, including sponsorship of the ATP Tour and Liverpool FC, aligning its focus on precision and performance with major international platforms.

Dan Heath’s nomination for Best Sales Representative highlights his consultative, relationship-led approach to supporting independent kitchen retailers.

With more than 17 years’ industry experience, Heath has represented a number of leading appliance brands and most recently supported the UK launch of the Haier iD Series 6 Oven. Known for his strong product knowledge and advocacy for the independent kitchen channel, he focuses on education and long-term partnerships rather than transactional selling.

His work has contributed to regional growth, strengthened retailer relationships and increased visibility for Haier’s expanding product portfolio.

Dan Halfpenney, Channel Director, Kitchen Independents & Trade Distribution at Haier Smart Home UK & Ireland, said: “Dan’s nomination is a testament to the calibre of his sales expertise that drives our business forward. His ability to combine deep product knowledge with genuine partnership-building has made a tangible difference for retailers and for our wider commercial strategy.”

Commenting on his nomination, Mr Heath added: “It’s an honour to be recognised by the industry. The KBB sector is built on strong relationships, and I’m proud to work with retailers who are as passionate about quality and innovation as we are.”

The BKU Awards ceremony will take place later this year.

Industry professionals can cast their vote via the BKU Awards website before voting closes on 16 March.
