Connect Distribution has been named as an appointed distributor for small domestic appliances to UK independent electrical retailers for the DēLonghi Group.
The service and spare parts business will provide access to a comprehensive range of more than 200 products from the DēLonghi, Kenwood and Braun brands, including bean-to-cup coffee machines and deluxe kitchen appliances.
“We’ve been working with DēLonghi for many years and are pleased to grow our partnership further,” explained Carl Bould, Head of B2B sales, Connect Distribution. “Our job is to manage the availability of DēLonghi’s products, while protecting brand value and fostering relationships with its customer base of independents and end users alike.”
A team of 11 Connect Distribution product experts will focus on the DēLonghi Group brands, including a dedicated Brand Manager for all DēLonghi-specific small domestic appliances. Key responsibilities will include stock management, forecasting and maintaining customer relationships.
“We differentiate ourselves from the competition through our ability to offer support, guidance and consultation,” continued Mr Bould. “We work in close partnership with independents to increase in-store footfall and help realise untapped opportunities.”
Birmingham-based Connect Distribution employs more than 600 people across its headquarters and distribution facility and offers a next-day delivery service that provides independents with a fast and reliable source for appliances.
Mr Bould added: “We want independents to be able to treat us as their personal warehouse. Whenever they need stock, we can offer them the convenience of both next-day delivery and delivery directly to their customers’ homes.”
