We are only a few days away from the TRIC Awards 2023, celebrating 54 years of the event – which recognises the very best TV, radio and online shows!
Working in partnership with retail buying group Euronics, the star-studded ceremony returns to the prestigious Grosvenor House, on Park Lane in London, next Tuesday, 27 June. With TRIC President, Rob Rinder, leading the proceedings of the day, co-hosted by hilarious comedian, Judi Love, and there will be a live performance from the multi-talented Fleur East – which will undoubtedly set the right mood for the afternoon!
In addition, guests will be treated to an A-list star arrival, and invited to walk the red carpet at the front entrance of Grosvenor House with photographers on standby!
The nominees have been announced and the public has spoken, out of the hundreds of TV and radio stars in attendance, the winners of the 17 categories will be announced. Plus there’s the presentation of the TRIC Special Award as well.
The awards will be presented in front of an invited audience of over 1,000 guests, and for the third year running fans can watch all the action on a livestream via the ScreenHits TV platform.
Daniel Todaro, Chair of TRIC (The Television and Radio Industries Club), commented: “What makes the TRIC Awards so special is that it’s the public who gets to choose who wins a coveted TRIC trophy and hold a place in history alongside previous winners in our 54-year history.
“We are also extremely pleased to be partnered with Euronics once again this year, as it helps us to raise money for such good causes. With around 450 members and approximately 650 stores across the UK and Northern Ireland, Euronics is one big family and we genuinely feel that it’s now also part of the TRIC family. We can’t wait to share the big day with many of the group’s members and agents.”
Each year TRIC supports two charities through its events, and this year it is raising money for Parkinson’s UK and the 45 Aid Society.
With over a staggering 1.6 million votes cast by the public this year, the shortlist contains some of the biggest and best-loved names in the broadcasting industry.
Mr Todaro added: “I’m exceptionally proud of the nominees all chosen by you, the fans, which really makes winning one of these trophies a bit more personal.”
It promises to be a hugely entertaining ceremony, with celebrities joining the fun, drawn from the world of comedy, drama, entertainment, factual, news and streamed content.
