Big Red sales agent Stuart Hoad does the double

Big Red sales agent Stuart Hoad has landed top sales honours for the second time.

Named as Big Red Sales Agent of the year, Mr Hoad (pictured far left), who looks after London and the Home Counties, has worked for the company for almost four years. He was rewarded for his efforts with a brand new black Volvo V40. He received his prize at a recent sales meeting in Ascot, Berkshire, near the Big Red Sales headquarters.

The awards are based on a series of competitions, which are sponsored by Big Red Sales’ manufacturing clients throughout the year. The competitions offer the chance to win points. Whoever amasses the most points at the end of the year wins the title and the prize.

Runners-up in the competition were John O’Neill (right), who won the top award last year, and is responsible for Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man. His prize was £500 cash.

The second runner-up was Tracy West (bottom), whose patch is the Midlands and Wales. She received £250 cash.

Commenting on his win, Mr Hoad, who last year won the ERT award for Sales Rep of the Year – Independents, said: “Thanks are due to all the other Big Red Sales agents for making this so difficult and pushing me right to the wire.

“I am thrilled to have won this award for the second time and a big thank-you to Big Red and the manufacturers for providing the opportunity to win such a fantastic prize. Last, but not least, thank you to all my retailers for their continued support both to myself and all the Big Red brands.”

Added Big Red Sales founder John Reddington: “It was a very closely fought competition and well done to all our agents. Plus, a big thank-you is also due to our customers for helping us achieve fantastic results during the past year, despite a difficult post-Brexit market.”

  • In other Big Red news, the company has announced that one of its most experienced salesmen – Tim Noyes – is retiring after a 43-year career in the industry.

Mr Noyes (pictured right), who joined Big Red in 2010, was one of the first sales reps to come on board.

Said Mr Reddington: “We are going to miss Tim, as are his many retailers, with whom he has a fantastic rapport. He has done a wonderful job for Big Red Sales and we wish him many happy and healthy years of retirement with his wife Gillian.”
