STRONG has announced the launch of two new home Wi-Fi 5 Mesh networking systems – the ATRIA AC1200 and the ATRIA AC2100.
Designed to eliminate buffering caused by Wi-Fi dead spots, STRONG’s Mesh systems have been engineered from the ground up to be fast, reliable and straightforward to install, thanks to a dedicated ATRIA Mesh smartphone app (available in iOS and Android versions).

ATRIA AC1200
STRONG’s budget dual-band, MU-MIMO-based (Multi-user, multiple-input, multiple-output) AC1200 Mesh system offers maximum speeds of up to 1200 Mbps (300Mbps @ 2.4GHz and 867 Mbps @ 5 GHz).
The package includes two Mesh extenders – fitted with four internal antennae – which are sufficient to give strong coverage for internal areas of up to 2400sq.ft/200m2. If you need to cater for a larger property, or one that has multiple floors, you can add up to four additional Mesh extenders (available separately) to cover a total area of up to 9600sq.ft/800m2.
Where most budget mesh systems sport 100Mbits/sec Ethernet ports the Atria AC1200 offers three Gigabit Ethernet ports as standard (for direct connection of peripherals like Smart TVs, printers etc), as well as WPA/WPA2 encryption to keep data secure. The accompanying ATRIA app (iOS/Android) meanwhile, simplifies set up and monitoring of the Mesh network, even giving users the ability to switch off the LED indicators on units.
ATRIA AC2100 Wi-Fi Mesh Kit
The step-up ATRIA AC2100 Wi-Fi Mesh Kit features a more powerful dual-core 900Mhz CPU, giving a significant uplift in maximum Wi-Fi speeds of up to 2100Mbps (300 Mbps @ 2.4GHz and 1733 Mbps @ 5 GHz). This makes it ideal for households with more bandwidth-intensive requirements such as the need to handle simultaneously streams of 4K UHD TV and video conferencing, as well as cloud-based gaming.
Each of the two Mesh AC2100 extenders in the package feature Ethernet backhaul (to increase Wi-Fi performance) and are equipped with six internal antennae, offering robust, high-speed coverage in spaces of up to 2400sq.ft/200m2.
If that isn’t enough, up to four further Mesh extenders can be added as and when required (again, available as single units), giving robust and seamless coverage in areas of up to 7200sq.ft/600m2.
The AC2100 series extenders have two Gigabit Ethernet ports, which can be used either as a router or access point and, in keeping with the higher specification, support the latest WPA3 encryption protocol (in addition to WPA/WPA2) for enhanced security.
Usefully, the ATRIA AC2100 system also offers the ability to create multiple SSIDs (up to four SSIDs on each of the two frequency bands). This allows complete, secure separation between different network streams (e.g. WFH, video streaming and guest networks).
