Stoves launches range cooker in Dulux Colour of the Year shade

Two iconic British brands – cooking appliance manufacturer, Stoves, and leading paint brand, Dulux – have collaborated to create a UK first by launching a range cooker in the new ‘Colour of the Year’ shade, Brave Ground.

Stoves, which is celebrating its centenary this year, will be launching Brave Ground as a colour choice across all of its Richmond Deluxe range cookers later this year.

Brave Ground becomes the tenth new colour to be added to the new Stoves 2020 Colour Boutique line, with the other nine shades developed based on research by WGSN, the leading authority on consumer and design trends.

Brave Ground was selected by an expert panel of colour designers, trend forecasters, design specialists, architects and editors from around the world.

Jane Rylands, Head of Marketing at Stoves, said: “We’re celebrating 100 years of manufacturing with a partnership with another much-loved brand. We’re delighted to be launching our Richmond Deluxe range cookers in the new Colour of the Year.

“Colour in the kitchen isn’t a new trend, but it’s becoming increasingly important for consumers looking to add personality and style to the most important room in the home.

“Given the development time, research and forecasting into colour trends by Dulux, we know that the Colour of the Year – which is now in its 18th year – is a significant release which will set the colour agenda and to be able to offer it on a range cooker for the first time is a fantastic option for homeowners.”

Stoves Richmond Deluxe range models are available in 90, 100 or 110cm sizes and gas, induction, dual fuel, or gas-through-glass fuel types.

Features include the Proflex cavity splitter, enabling cooks to convert the tall cavity into two separate Equiflow fan ovens – creating the only 90cm range cooker with four ovens on the market – and a Zeus Bluetooth Connected Timer, which allows the oven timer to be controlled by smartphone or tablet using a Bluetooth connection.

Selected models also include Steam & Infuse, introduced to meet increasing consumer interest in steam cooking.
