Siemens unveils the all-new French door fridge-freezer

Siemens Home Appliances has launched its first-ever French door fridge-freezer, the iQ700 KF86FPB2A. Clad in sleek black glass, it has a two-drawer freezer (67 litres) and full-width 279-litre fridge compartment. The central hyperFresh Premium 0°C compartment (80 litres) holds fruit, vegetables, meat and fish in an area of controlled humidity to keep it fresher for longer.

Perfect for entertaining, the fridge has a full storage width of 675mm so can accommodate wide platters with ease. It also has a flexible interior that includes adjustable door bins for different-height bottles and two boxes at the bottom that can be removed completely if more storage space is needed. The interior of the whole appliance is lit brilliantly with premium LED lighting.

The KF86FPB2 has full Home Connect capabilities so can be monitored and controlled via the Home Connect app on a phone or tablet. For example, if you are coming back from the supermarket, use the SuperCool or Superfreezing functions to lower the temperature of the fridge to +2°C or freezer to -30°C so food already in there won’t be affected when new items are added.

Valerie Posner, Category Manager Built-in Cooling, BSH Home Appliances Ltd, comments,“Our all-new FrenchDoor fridge-freezer is a fantastic addition to the Siemens cooling range. With its striking black glass cladding, it can be a focal point of the kitchen and with a capacity of over 400 litres, provides an impressive amount of storage space.”
