New Klipsch soundbars coming to the UK

Henley Audio has announced the introduction of a new active soundbar range from Klipsch, focused on delivering premium audio from TVs while maintaining a small footprint.

US-based audio manufacturer Klipsch is well known in the Professional and Home Cinema audio markets, and its newest soundbar offerings draw direct inspiration from the company’s Reference speaker line.

With the introduction of two new easy-to-use soundbars that are designed to look and sound like the brand’s premium Reference speakers, Klipsch is making a bigger statement than ever before in this mature market that’s still frequently made up of convenience devices that struggle to deliver the full depth and scale of a big movie soundtrack.

The Klipsch BAR 48 (£565.00 SRP) and BAR 40 (£350.00 SRP) soundbars each feature quality materials and horn-loaded tweeters, as well as the latest audio technologies, including wireless subwoofers. The design purpose is not just to offer a true upgrade to television sound, enhancing movies and music with clarity and realism; but to try and further replicate the performance and ability of a multi-box surround system without encroaching into the room.

Just like the Klipsch Reference passive speaker line, the BAR 40 and BAR 48 are both made from wood enclosures, avoiding unwanted resonances associated with plastic bodies, and feature acoustically neutral woven grilles and exposed horns to deliver an impressive audio performance.

The Klipsch BAR 48 (pictured above) is a high performance 3.1 channel soundbar system. Featuring a dedicated centre channel speaker for enhanced clarity, and a wireless 8-inch subwoofer for powerful, deep bass, it’s easily capable of filling even larger rooms with an impressive, cinematic sound. There’s also built-in surround sound processing technologies such as Dolby Digital audio technology, Dolby Digital Plus technology, DTS technology and DTS-HD technology to make sure you get exactly the sound you expect. Designed to fit discretely below the TV screen, the slim profile BAR 48 soundbar measures 48” in length and just 2.8” tall and can be wall-mounted or placed on a table.

The Klipsch BAR 40 (pictured left) is a 2.1 soundbar with a wireless 6.5-inch subwoofer, designed as an easy to set-up and use upgrade to the underwhelming sound associated with so many modern TVs. The BAR 40 features legendary Klipsch acoustics, a built-in Dolby Audio decoder and enhanced virtual surround sound modes for a cinematic experience. While it measures just 40 inches in length and 2.8 inches high so it can be added discretely to any room, its performance allows listeners to hear every detail of their favourite shows and music.

The Klipsch BAR 48 and BAR 40 feature a number of inputs, and also work seamlessly with Bluetooth wireless technology for high-quality music playback from enabled devices. Both are also simple to set-up and operate (including separate volume attenuation for the soundbar and the subwoofer), either using the controls on the top surface, or with the supplied remote control. Both can also either be wall-mounted or sit directly on the same surface as the TV.
