LG is set to unveil a host of new products at this year’s IFA exhibition in Berlin from 6-10 September.
Firstly, the tech giant will introduce new floorcare solutions including its brand new stick vacuum cleaning solution, LG CordZero All-in-One Tower Combi, which combines the CordZero A9X stick vacuum with the CordZero R5 robot vacuum.
LG’s said the All-In-One Tower Combi (pictured below) redefines storage, charging and style while making everyday cleaning simpler and more efficient.
The CordZero A9X incorporates LG’s Smart Inverter Motor, with rapid spinning action that generates a strong suction that picks up dirt, dust and debris with ease. It also features Spray Mop for efficient mopping on hard floors.
The CordZero R5 robot vac is also equipped with a mop, facilitated by an automatic water supply system from the embedded water tank that keeps the mop wet. What’s more, the robot vacuum employs a 360 LiDAR sensor to navigate obstacles and furniture. The front camera works in unison with 3D and several other sensors, which recognise up to 96 objects, making obstacle navigation effortless.
“We have merged the cleaning and maintenance process into one to deliver the convenient and effortless user experience consumer’s desire,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, President of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “We are fully committed to introducing a steady stream of innovative home appliances that exceed all expectations, with a strong focus on constantly redefining the seamless user experience.”
As well as this, LG is also expanding its laundry line-up with a new washing machine. It boasts the company’s state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence Direct Drive 2.0 technology – which utilises deep learning technology to automatically detect the load weight, fabric softness and soil level of the garments. Plus, pet owners can take advantage of the Pet Care cycle feature, which offers high-temperature washing up to 60 degrees and four warm water rinse cycles.
There are also other convenient features, such as TurboWash 360, where washing cycles can be reduced to just 39 minutes, while ezDispense technology determines the necessary amount of detergent for a load.
This new washer also offers a larger and more efficient capacity; its LG’s first washing machine in the 25-inch category, offering the convenience of larger washing loads with an increased drum capacity of up to 16kg.
Also at IFA, LG will be unveiling its ThinQ ON AI home hub – providing consumers with connectivity and expandability, positioning itself as the centrepiece of a comprehensive smart home ecosystem.
The AI home hub connects with a vast array of appliances and Internet of Things (IoT) devices, making it easy for anyone to configure and enjoy a personalised AI-powered home. Powered by LG’s Affectionate Intelligence, the ThinQ ON continuously learns from individual usage patterns and broader usage trends to tailor customers’ daily experiences, accelerating the realisation of LG’s “Zero Labour Home” vision.
“An AI voice assistant and hub that serves as the centre of the smart home, ThinQ ON brings us significantly closer to realising our vision of the Zero Labour Home,” added Mr Jae-cheol. “LG aims to make the ‘AI Home Lifestyle’ accessible to everyone, and will continue to deliver customised comfort, care and convenience through its Affectionate Intelligence solutions.”
LG’s latest home appliance solutions will be on display at the company’s IFA 2024 exhibition booth in Hall 18, Messe Berlin from 6-10 September.
