Hoover’s latest laundry launches

Hoover has unveiled details of its latest laundry launches, including WiFi-connected, large-capacity models and a heat pump tumble dryer with an ultra-quiet drum.

WiFi-connected washing machines can be controlled and monitored through the Hoover Wizard App, which provides access to additional washing programmes, maintenance advice and the user manual.

First to market is the WiFi-connected Hoover Dynamic Next washing machine with the brand’s exclusive CareDose and All-in-One technology. This automatically dispenses detergent and provides the ability to wash different fabrics and colours together at full load.

Available in white, black and graphite colourways and in 9kg and 10kg capacities, the appliances feature an inverter motor, making them quieter and more energy efficient than traditionally-manufactured products. Hoover will also be launching a washer dryer with 10kg washing and 6kg drying capacities.

Following that will be Dynamic Next washing machine models in 11kg, 12kg and 13kg capacities. WiFi connected and complete with an inverter motor, the appliances have been developed to meet consumer demand for large capacity models, which increased substantially in 2018.

In addition this this, there are a number of tumble dryer launches. Hoover will also launch a heat pump model with an ultra-quiet drum.

The Hoover AXI tumble dryers boast WiFi and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and have aesthetics to match the washing machines launched in 2018. Pictured above: The Hoover AXI 10kg Tumble Dryer in black

Available in 9kg and 10kg capacities and either heat pump or condenser formats, the products incorporate Hoover’s All-in-One, Total Care and AquaVision technology. This means a full load of different fabrics and colours can be tumbled together and water is collected in a door-mounted canister.

Hoover’s 11kg heat pump tumble dryer is WiFi connected and offers ultra-quiet operation thanks to its insulated drum.

Lastly, there is also a 10kg vented tumble dryer. Offering NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, the same as contactless payment, the product boasts the largest capacity currently available on the market.

Steve Macdonald, Business Director, Freestanding Division at Hoover Candy UK, said: “Whilst some say that bigger isn’t necessarily better, this absolutely isn’t the case with laundry models! Capacities of 7kg and below are in less demand and account for around a third of the market.

“Advances in technology mean products are more innovative these days. They can detect loads, suggest the best programme, add detergent and fabric softener and alert users when a specific fabric is dry, so it completely negates the need for any guess work.

“We’ve paid particular attention to product aesthetics too as consumers are increasingly adopting the concept of open-plan living, so it’s important to us that they look good, as well as operate well.”
