TP Vision – brand licensee for the design, manufacturing and sales of Philips TVs and audio products – has once again won international recognition for its commitment to offering products featuring outstanding European design, with Philips TV & Sound winning four prestigious 2025 Red Dot Awards while sister company MMD won three Red Dot awards for Philips monitors, the brand has reported.
TP Vision’s long-term commitment to including the outright best of European Design, Innovation and inhouse technical expertise – in all of the company’s products – has been crucially supported by the direct investment in maintaining a dedicated European design team based in Amsterdam.
The quality of Philips TV, Audio and monitor products receives consistent positive recognition, from the specialist media, retailers and from customers throughout key European markets, and regularly from the professional design community including the latest seven 2025 Red Dot Awards, TP Vision says.
For more than 71 years, the Red Dot awards have highlighted those companies who want to distinguish their products and businesses by offering better design. And with more than 18,000 entries from 70 countries, the Red Dot Awards are one of world’s largest and most prestigious design competitions.
Accessed by an independent panel of 50 International design experts, the awards recognise the absolute best in product design, when measured by several factors including: functionality, quality, ergonomics, innovation, durability, and ecological compatibility.
Commenting on the latest Red Dot awards, Rod White, Chief Design Officer for TP Vision said: ‘Our forward-thinking approach to product creation, from both our inhouse technical and design teams, is truly unique within consumer electronics and it gives Philips TV & Sound and Monitors genuine product differentiation in markets of products predominantly looking the same. We believe our products and product design are truly exceptional and the approval of the professional design community is always warmly received’.
2025 Red Dot Winners
Philips Ambilight OLED+950
The new flagship OLED 950 TV is designed to communicate the presence of the ultimate picture quality for 2025 TVs. Befitting that end goal, the design has been deliberately dialled down, with the focus subtly moved away from the product to give the image on the screen the attention it deserves.
Philips Ambilight OLED+910, with Sound by Bowers & Wilkins
Building on the success of previous Philips Bowers & Wilkins designs for premium OLED TVs, the OLED910 is the latest model to feature an integrated but visible sound system.
The main detailing is the Philips ‘pill’ shaped surface signature, with the rounding on the speaker surface and also the stands to deliberately deemphasize the technical aspect of the TV, allowing it to easily fit into modern homes.
Philips Ambilight OLED850 and OLED860 TVs
The new OLED 850 and OLED860 design is the answer for those users who prefer a qualitative central stand and appreciate swivel functionality to rotate the angle of the screen – with a seamless option for enhanced sound.
Philips K4200 Kids headphones
The new 4200 Headphones are specially designed for kids, reflecting the reality that today’s children are much more informed with regards to form and finishing than those in the past.
The 4200 Headphone uses modern clean surfacing with a concentric circular light ring within the on-ear casing to add playfulness. 2025 colour and finishing trends were referenced and allow the headphones to be both outstanding and fresh.
The MMD team were also the winners of three Red Dot 2025 design awards for the Philips B2D500, B2D400 series Monitors and the new Philips Evina 5000 Gaming Monitor.
