Haier launches new refrigeration and laundry products

Haier has introduced major products across refrigeration and laundry.

At its UK media briefing for Haier UK and Ireland – which ERT attended to get a first look at these latest appliances, the company concentrated on its message of the Connected Home for Smart Living.

The presentation by Jim McEwan, COO of Haier UK and Ireland, Milo Cheney, Product Manager for Refrigeration and Ben Peach, Product Manager for Laundry, showcased the brand’s vision for the connected home and introduced the new products.

First up, Haier added to its ever-growing cooling range with the FD 83 SERIES 7 French Door refrigerator (above and left) that comes with a water dispenser, and it offers customised connectivity, tailored to your needs, via Wi-Fi and powered by the hOn smartphone/tablet app.

Secondly, there was the introduction of the new I-Pro Series 5 (959 Series) which consists of a washing machine and washer dryer. It all starts with loading, made easier by the large capacity which is even available with the slim machines. A full set of dedicated programs ensures superior cleaning, drying and sanitising for your laundry. All this is powered by the patented Direct Motion Motor technology.

Available in White and Graphite and connected with the hOn App – a whole world of connectivity awaits you.

Haier wants to continue with the development strategy that has led it to be at the top of the Euromonitor ranking of household appliances manufacturers for 12 consecutive years, and also said it wants to be the fastest growing company in Europe.

“We are really excited about the company vision and product development for the future,” said Jim McEwan, COO of Haier UK and Ireland. “The hOn app and Wi-Fi connectivity, advanced technological innovations, superior design and tailor-made solutions that Haier offers, plus the new built-in range coming in the second half of this year, gives us a great platform for building for the future and achieving our vision to be the first consumer choice for the smart home.”
