Whirlpool 4 Doors fridge freezer wins iF Design Award

Whirlpool has been awarded a 2019 iF Design Award for its freestanding 4 Doors fridge freezer.

Now in its 66th year, the iF Design Awards is one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions and submissions are awarded based on the following disciplines: product, packaging, communication and service design, architecture and interior architecture as well as professional concepts. The 2019 iF Design Awards saw 6,400 entries from 50 countries.

Following an intensive three-day assessment from an international, high-profile judging panel of 67 experts, the brand new Whirlpool 4 Doors fridge freezer was awarded in the product discipline.

Finished in stainless steel, the American-style side-by-side fridge freezer (WQ9 B1L) boasts a contemporary design with slim fit doors and integrated handles, to complement popular handle-less kitchen cabinetry, and a full-width black interface that offers an intuitive user experience.

The Whirlpool 4 Doors fridge freezer also benefits from 6TH SENSE FreshLock technology that monitors, adapts and controls the refrigeration temperature to ensure an optimal environment for storing fresh food, while the adaptable FlexiFreeze compartment has three different settings for users to choose from to suit a variety of freezing requirements.

Michela Giorgetti, Cooling Category Manager, Whirlpool, said: “We are delighted to receive the iF Design Award recognition for our new 4 Doors fridge freezer. At Whirlpool, the design of our appliances goes beyond how it looks and we will continue to provide consumers with appliances that incorporate innovative technologies and offer exceptional levels of performance.”
