Excitement is building as the shortlists for the TRIC Awards 2026 are officially revealed, after months of support from viewers across the UK. The biggest names in television, radio and online will gather for a glittering day celebrating the nominees, with TRIC President Dan Walker leading the proceedings at the prestigious Grosvenor House on Park Lane in London on Tuesday, 23 June, where this year’s winners will be revealed.
Each year, the Television and Radio Industries Club (TRIC) brings the entertainment world together for a standout event that honours the best of British broadcasting, while also supporting meaningful causes. In 2026, the spotlight will not only be on industry achievements but also on fundraising efforts for its chosen charities, Refuge and Bright Young Dreams.
2026 sees another year of collaboration as TRIC continues its partnership with title sponsor Euronics, Europe’s largest electrical buying group, for a fifth year running. Together they will celebrate the standout talent and familiar faces shaping the nation’s viewing and listening habits, from groundbreaking innovators to beloved on-screen personalities.
Past attendees have included household names like Anita Dobson, Roman Kemp, Sir Trevor McDonald, Sam Thompson, Pete Wicks, Michelle Collins, Rylan along with digital stars such as LadBaby and Max Balegde.
Fifteen awards voted for by the public will be presented on the day as well as the TRIC Special Award, celebrating exceptional contribution across the industry.
This year’s awards also introduce a refreshed line-up of radio categories, reflecting the evolving listening habits of audiences across the UK. For the first time, TRIC will honour a standalone Radio Talk Show category.
Meanwhile, the newly created Sports Presenter category delivers an all-female shortlist showdown, with Alex Scott, Clare Balding, Gabby Logan and Laura Woods all recognised for their outstanding contribution to sports broadcasting.
Staying Relevant have returned to defend their title in the Podcast category going up against previous winners That Peter Crouch Podcast and newbies Celebrity Traitors Uncloaked and Parenting Hell with Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe.
Mark Goldbridge, Mrs Hinch and the @Sidemen gathered their followers to reach the shortlist and will go up against 2025 Winners LadBaby for the Content Creator Crown.
Will Nick Ferrari, TalkSPORT Breakfast, TalkSport Drive and Women’s Hour be able to talk their way to a win in the new Radio Talk show category?
Soap of the Year 2025 winners Eastenders take on Soap heavy weights Casualty, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
