Editor’s Comment: Bragging rights!
Welcome to the latest jam-packed edition of ERT! It’s been a busy month here and you’ll notice our brand new feature section in this issue called Who’s Who. We are giving electrical retail manufacturers, suppliers and retailers the chance to really boast about their products, services and innovations and tell our readers why they are the best at what they do in their specific sector or category. Turn to page 26 to find out who’s who this month!
I must also draw your attention to the ERT Awards… Entries for this year are now closed and the next stage in the process is the manufacturer/supplier voting! This is only open to electrical retailers – they will cast their votes via our dedicated online platform to decide which products and brands will win.
By surveying retailers’ responses in this way we are able to get a definitive answer on who the best suppliers are, which new products have caught retailers’ eyes and which sales reps are going above and beyond.
So for manufacturers and suppliers, if you want a better chance of winning a prestigious ERT Awards trophy you need to drum up support amongst your retailer network to encourage more votes!
All the ERT Awards categories give everyone a real chance to come together and celebrate their partnerships, which help to keep driving the electrical retail industry forward. The categories cover all corners of the market to give as many people and companies the opportunity to get involved.
And this year, you may already know, we have introduced two brand new categories – Best Sustainable Independent Electrical Retailer and Best Manufacturer/Supplier Sustainability Initiative.
Sustainability is at the forefront of everyone’s minds now; every brand is growing their choice of eco-friendly products and this is also being reflected in retailers’ stores as they encourage more sustainable purchases. We are very much looking forward to highlighting and rewarding the efforts being made across our industry to reduce our environmental impact.
