Dan is the lead anchor of Channel 5’s 5 News and co-hosts Dan & Helen’s Pennine Adventure alongside Helen Skelton. A seasoned journalist and broadcaster, he is known for his six years as the host of BBC Breakfast and 12 years on Football Focus.

As TRIC President, Dan Walker will shine a light on a cause close to his heart: Bright Young Dreams. This charity helps to address the urgent global crisis in children’s mental health. Its mission is to raise over £5 million help fund a strategic action plan and infrastructure, in aid of Sheffield Children’s, The Children’s Hospital Charity and children around the world.
This year, TRIC is also proud to be supporting UWC Atlantic, a charity chosen by TRIC Chair, Roy Dickens. UWC Atlantic’s mission is to harness the power of education to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. By fostering collaboration and understanding among young people from diverse backgrounds, UWC Atlantic is shaping future leaders equipped to address global challenges.

Held since 1969, TRIC (The Television and Radio Industries Club) recognises the ‘Who’s Who’ of the industry. Celebrities and talent from TV, radio and online attend to celebrate the achievements of online and on-screen productions.
