TCL took home 10 distinctions from IFA 2019 earlier this month in Berlin. With recognition covering TCL’s TV, audio and washing machine products, the wins underscore TCL’s ambitions and position as a leading global consumer electronics brand in Europe.
Each year the authoritative IFA Product Technical Innovation Award (IFA-PTIA) evaluates cutting-edge consumer electronics products jointly presented by IDG and GIC. According to IFA, the outstanding products selected over the years are the pioneers in the development of the consumer electronics industry.
For the 2019 edition, 24 products from 20 manufacturers were selected for this prestigious innovation award, which covers TV, air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, and other consumer electronics products. Among them, TCL took home two awards.
TCL won the ‘Home Theater Gold Award’ for its flagship TCL X10 Mini LED Series TV (pictured above), which represents a new generation of television display. The X10 Series combines Direct Mini LED backlight, Quantum Dot, 4K HDR Premium with Dolby Vision and native HDR10+ 100 HZ for sharp black and infinite colours. It also features Android TV with Google Assistant built-in, hands-free voice control, and an immersive Dolby Atmos sound experience and cinema-quality audio thanks to the Onkyo 2.2 sound bar.
TCL also took home the IFA-PTIA ‘Anti-Pollution and Separate Washing Innovation Gold Award’ for its X10-110BDI washing machine. This washing machine leverages smart technology – it uses ultrasound cleaning and can be used to clean glasses, jewellery and wearable devices, as well as laundry.
IFA 2019 marked the first-ever launch of TCL-brand washers and refrigerators for the European market.
The TCL RAY∙DANZ sound bar, from the company’s brand-new line of audio products, stole the show with seven distinctions from a variety of specialist sources. It was named among the ‘Best New Audio Products at IFA 2019’ and ‘Best Audio Equipment of IFA 2019’ by Android Authority and IGN, respectively. It was also named ‘Best of IFA 2019’ by Android Headlines, GadgetMatch, Soundguys and Ubergizmo, as well as ‘Best Tech of IFA 2019’ by Digital Trends.
The TCL RAY∙DANZ is a 3.1-channel Dolby Atmos sound bar and wireless subwoofer sound system designed to deliver a premium home audio experience with an expansive sound stage. It features two sideways-firing speaker drivers that project sound towards a reflector on each side, which bend the sound at a precise angle to create natural reverberation and a much wider perceived sound stage. A third, front-firing speaker delivers clear dialogue with accurate voice positioning.
TCL’s SOCL 500TWS true wireless earbuds were also distinguished in IGN’s ‘Best Audio Equipment of IFA 2019’. These offer a range of colours in a semi-transparent case and housing. This casing lets users verify that the ear pieces are there without having to open the lid. The headphones offer powerful audio with their 5.8mm speaker drivers. Also, instead of relying on the ear canal to secure the ear piece, TCL’s latest true wireless products use the whole inner ear for a more natural fit.
