YouGov has released its 2026 Consumer Tech Rankings report, exploring the top consumer electronics in Britain based on consideration and perceived value among customers.

Consumers were asked which brands they would most consider purchasing when next in the market looking for a new consumer electronics product. Topping that list was Sony, with 34.1 per cent, followed by LG at 28.6 per cent. Panasonic came in third at 24.4 per cent. Philips, Bose, Playstation, Apple (Watch), Samsung (home entertainment), Nintendo, and ring, were ranked fourth to tenth respectively.

Brands were also ranked ‘most considered’ by gender and generation. All generations – Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X and Baby Boomers+ ranked Sony at the top of their most considered brands, with Playstation, LG (Millennials and Gen X) and Panasonic all placing second for each of those generations, respectively.

In terms of value, LG was top ranked, with 44.7 per cent saying it represented most or best value. Dyson Hair Care was ranked first, with ‘most improved’ value. Samsung came second in both of these rankings and luxury audio brand, Bang & Olufsen was ranked third as having ‘most-improved value’.

In terms of domestic appliances, Samsung came in top at 47.3 per cent, while Bosch followed in second at 41 per cent. LG ranked third at 36.1 per cent. Hotpoint, Ninja, Dyson, Shark, Russell Hobbs, Miele and Beko were ranked fourth to tenth, respectively in this category.

By generation, Samsung was favoured by Gen Z, Millennials, and Gen X in this category, with Bosch ranking top for Baby Boomers+. LG, Bosch, and Samsung ranked second by generations Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X and Baby Boomers+, while Dyson, Bosch and LG came in third place.

Most improved domestic appliance brands by generation were Henry, Ninja and Bosch, recording a 3.3, 2.2 and 0.4 percentage-point growth respectively.

In terms of value, Hisense came top at 53.8 per cent. Henry came second at 50.3 and LG came third. Most improved in value terms were Neff at 37.4 per cent, up from 36.0 in 2024. Miele came second at 41.8 per cent, up from 40.9 per cent, and Hoover came third at 23.1 per cent, up from 22.5 per cent in 2024.
