Sirius Buying Group’s much-anticipated Annual Trade Show has concluded for another year – and this time with a milestone to match. The event took place on 16 September 2026 at Arena MK in Milton Keynes, marking the Group’s 25th anniversary year, and welcomed more than 450 people through the doors – a mix of Members, Approved Suppliers, Service Providers, special guests and press.
Over 35 Approved Suppliers and Service Providers filled the floor, showcasing the latest product innovations and exclusive show-only promotions from some of the world’s leading MDA, SDA and kitchen brands such as BSH, Haier, Hotpoint, Midea, AEG, Rangemaster, Smeg, CDA, Glen Dimplex, Montpellier, Bluestem Group, Symphony and JJO.
Steve Jones, Managing Director at Sirius Buying Group, said: “Twenty-five years is a long time in this industry, and to still be growing, still be welcoming new Members and still have Suppliers backing us the way they do says everything about the people in this Group. Hearing Members talk on that film about what Sirius has meant to their businesses was a proud moment, and a reminder of the important job we have to support the independent electrical and kitchen retailer.”
Equipping Members with the latest market trends, product information, and prime opportunity to engage with Approved Suppliers, this year’s Trade Show delivered a highly engaging business environment as Members explored the stands and brand exclusives on offer. The 1-day event closed with a Gala Dinner that evening – bigger than ever in the Group’s anniversary year – offering guests the chance to celebrate together, deepen client relationships and receive thanks for giving up their valuable time to attend.
Winners at the 2026 Sirius Awards presented during the dinner included Built-In Kitchen Appliances, winner of Retailer of the Year – Large (Highly Commended: Powerhouse Jersey), Blackwood Appliances taking home the win for Retailer of the Year – Medium (Highly Commended: Power Appliances), and Design Kitchens by Protech, which won Kitchen Retailer of the Year (Highly Commended: Paragon). BSH scooped the award for Supplier of the Year – Large for an impressive fourth consecutive year (Highly Commended: Statesman), with Montpellier winning Supplier of the Year – Medium (Highly Commended: Rangemaster), and Eurosonic Group and Bluestem Group both being recognised as SDA Supplier of the Year (Highly Commended: RKW).
Ian Adams of BSH was awarded Representative of the Year as voted by Members (Highly Commended: Simeon Green, RNW), and three brands were recognised for their creative exhibition space, judged on the day for design, impact and Member engagement, with Hotpoint winning Large Best Stand, Rangemaster winning Medium Best Stand, and Product Care Group named the winner of SDA Best Stand in 2026.
The night also saw the first ever Spirit of Sirius award, a new accolade chosen by the Sirius team that looks beyond sales figures to recognise someone who has gone the extra mile for the Group throughout their time as a Member. The inaugural winner was Lyn Knight.
With 25 years to celebrate, the evening carried a little extra. Guests enjoyed a performance from comedian and ventriloquist Nina Conti, alongside a specially produced film narrated by Managing Director Steve Jones, in which Members shared their own memories of the Group and how Membership has benefitted their businesses over the years.
Mark Veysey, Operations Director at Sirius Buying Group, added: “What an incredible day! A huge thank you to all our Members and Approved Suppliers who joined us at the 2026 Trade Show. The effort that went into the stands this year was exceptional and the atmosphere on the floor was fantastic from the moment the doors opened. It’s been brilliant to see everyone come together in our anniversary year – here’s to the next 25!”
The Sirius Trade Show 2026 helped to raise even more funds for this year’s nominated charity, OCHRE, the Oesophageal Cancer Charity, with the running total having now hit £13.5K thanks to the amazing donations from supporting Approved Suppliers and Members on the night.
