Sirius Buying Group has announced that Electrolux Group, including its premium appliance brand AEG, has become its latest Approved Supplier.
AEG specialises in cooking, laundry, fridges and freezers, dishwashing, cleaning, HVAC, and wine cabinets; the brand, with its head office in Luton, Bedfordshire, has been part of the Electrolux Group since 1994.
Michael White, Channel Manager – Electrical Retail Independents at Electrolux, said the company’s focus remains on the independent sector as it continues to improve operations across its retail channels.
“Recognising Sirius as a key part of the independent electrical retail and kitchen studio sector by becoming an Approved Supplier is the next phase of our development,” said Mr White, “and this follows the introduction of our new Partner Program last year, which enables us to continue driving growth and support valued independents and buying groups as we go forward together.”
Marion Morton, Head of Commercial at Sirius Buying Group, added: “We are really excited to have AEG supporting our members to ensure they can achieve further growth within the UK MDA market. Now, our members can offer a full suite of AEG appliances that serve everyday life, and deliver on style and innovation for their customers. With this in mind, the offer from AEG will definitely support our ongoing mission to increase profitability for the independent retailer.”
Recent research from Statista indicated that the global market for home appliances is projected to grow annually by 4.86 per cent from 2024-2028 with a volume growth of 1.7 per cent anticipated in 2025. Sirius said the addition of Electrolux Group to its list of Approved Suppliers will ensure that its members can continue to grow their share of the market, as well as deliver value back to the supplier.
Steve Jones, Managing Director at Sirius Buying Group, commented: “Creating a new relationship with AEG has been very rewarding as we take great pride in being able to support our growing community of Members with the very best brands, so we can help them stay independent.”
