Established as a high street retailer for more than 50 years, RSM Domestic Appliances has built strong relationships with several local charities and organisations through its commitment to giving back to the community.
In 2017, RSM launched the Community Support Scheme to create a more focused, structured framework for their charitable activities. This initiative emerged as a natural extension of RSM’s dedication to delivering high personal customer satisfaction as specialists in home appliance retail and repair services.
Since its inception over eight years ago, the Community Support Scheme has made a donation every month. In addition it helps individuals and organisations through the supply of home appliances, repairs and servicing, or monetary donations. The scheme works collaboratively with charity partners and Surrey local authorities to match specific needs where possible. Some of those supported include: Foodbanks, Hospices and Besom to name just a few.
Most recently, RSM owner Steve Haydon was delighted to present a donation of 10 x Kettles and 10 x Toasters to The Besom Network in Woking recently. Besom will distribute these to families where a few home comforts are much needed.
Haydon reflects, “We see this as a way to thank our loyal customers and give back to our local community. With so many years in business we fully appreciate that without the customers support we wouldn’t be here!”
