New round of crowdfunding for The Funky Appliance Company

The Funky Appliance Company is back with its latest crowdfunding round on Seedrs, and looking to make it a perfect seven out of seven funding rounds.

The company, founded in June 2016 by husband-and-wife team Joe and Sadie Sillett, has raised a total of £1 million investment to date and has three core products: a Funky Toaster, a Funky Kettle and a Funky Iron.

The Funky Toaster is shortlisted at this year’s ERT Awards in the Best New Product – Small Domestic Appliances category. Find out on Monday if it takes home the trophy!

The Funky Appliance Company partnered with SDA and housewares distributor, RKW, with distribution of the company’s eye-catching products – now gathering pace with 81 retailers in the UK and Ireland now ranging Funky goods.

The new funding round launched on Seedrs to the public this week and is already at 50 per cent of the target.

Joe Sillett, Co-Founder and CEO of The Funky Appliance Company, said: “We are really excited to be back on Seedrs again. We are looking forward to another successful campaign ahead of what promises to be a hugely exciting 2022 for us.”

The company has recently signed a three-year exclusive global license with RKW for the Funky brand to go into Housewares and Cookware.

Rob Sutton, Managing Director at RKW, said: “We are confident that we will see excellent growth in 2022 and we believe that the Funky brand will find a strong niche for itself in the market, and we are looking forward to supporting them not just in the UK and Ireland, but also internationally through the licensing deal we have signed with them.”
