Hakan Bulgurlu is to step down as Chief Executive Officer of Beko (Arçelik A.Ş.; Bloomberg: ARCLK TI) at the company’s next General Assembly, bringing to a close an 11-year tenure marked by international expansion and a strong focus on sustainability. He will be succeeded by Can Dinçer, currently General Manager of Arçelik Türkiye and Chief Commercial Officer for South Asia and Türkiye.

Mr Bulgurlu, who has spent more than three decades within the Koç Group, will remain on the Board of Beko B.V. until June 2026 to support the transition. He will also complete his term as President of APPLiA, the European home appliance trade body.
The company said the leadership change follows a structured succession plan aimed at ensuring continuity as it builds on its position in the global major domestic appliance market.
Mr Dinçer brings more than 30 years’ experience across Türkiye, Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific, having held a range of senior roles within Arçelik’s international operations. He has been closely involved in strengthening the group’s domestic market position while driving commercial growth and maintaining performance across the South Asia region.
During Mr Bulgurlu’s tenure, Beko significantly expanded its global footprint through acquisitions, partnerships and joint ventures, including Singer in Bangladesh, Dawlance in Pakistan, Voltas Beko in India and Arçelik‑Hitachi in Asia-Pacific. The formation of Beko Europe and the integration of Whirlpool’s MENA operations further strengthened the company’s scale and regional presence.

Sustainability also became more deeply embedded in the business during this period, with climate targets aligned to international frameworks and operational efficiencies introduced across manufacturing. Mr Bulgurlu consistently positioned environmental responsibility as complementary to long-term commercial performance.
The transition signals the next phase for Beko as it looks to maintain momentum in a competitive and evolving global appliances market.
