Editor’s comment: Congratulations and celebrations!
Welcome to this month’s ERT Awards special edition!
The ERT Awards is the leading ceremony in the industry bringing together retailers and suppliers to celebrate and recognise excellence in electrical retail.
This was the thirteenth year of the Awards and while we couldn’t gather together in London like usual, we thought it was incredibly important to still hold this event despite the difficulties of the past year, to bring everyone together and share successes and good news.
For the first time ever, the Awards was a live-streamed ceremony hosted on the ERT Awards website – the perfect platform for everyone to enjoy the same event but from the comfort of their own home.
This has been a year like no other. Never before have retailers been forced to close their shop doors, and at the start of last year there were a lot of questions and concerns. It’s been a year of many ups and downs with a lot of changes to the rules and restrictions – nobody knows what’s around the corner.
However, over the past year we’ve heard great success stories from retailers up and down the country really going the extra mile. They’ve been going above and beyond to reach and serve their loyal customers during these trying times.
It’s this – and lots more – that we celebrate at the ERT Awards and I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that tuned in to watch and participate! I really hope you enjoyed it! Thanks also to the brilliant Ian Moore (left) for hosting the afternoon!
Huge congratulations to all of this year’s winners and highly commended! And thank you to everyone that took the time to enter the Awards. Winning one of the prestigious ERT trophies is a huge achievement and one that certainly propels winners above their competition.
Fingers crossed, next year we can all catch up in person and toast to what would hopefully have been a strong and successful 2021!
