IFA Berlin returned earlier this month – once again displaying the latest tech across consumer electronics, home appliances and smart home.

The most notable trends were AI, sustainability and connectivity as the world’s leading manufacturers showcased their forward-thinking future innovations. In fact, ‘Innovation for All’ is IFA’s new strapline; the exhibition marked its 100th anniversary this year with a complete brand refresh.

IFA used to stand for “Internationale Funkausstellung”, which roughly translates to “International Radio Exhibition”.

IFA 2024 Welcome Hall Busy 2Following the closure of this year’s mammoth show in the German capital, organisers have reported that attendance was up 18 per cent from last year, and official figures revealed that more than 215,000 visitors attended, including more than 133,000 trade attendees, from 138 countries.

Not only that, but media participation grew by 43 per cent, and the presence of tech influencers surged by 300 per cent!

In total, there were more than 1,800 exhibitors to visit, all dotted around the perennially confusing Messe grounds.

The return of the iconic Sommergarten, with its highly attended concerts and dynamic program, perfectly embodied IFA’s fresh rebranding – blending entertainment and technology for an unforgettable experience.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary, Sommergarten invited guests, exhibitors, partners, and international superstars. During the day, visitors enjoyed street food, drinks and a beautiful garden to catch the sun; at night, they joined hip-hop artists, dance music legends, legendary rockstars, and the world’s first 6pm festival!

IFA 2024 Bryan Adams Nicole ScherzingerMusic legend Bryan Adams kicked things off on the opening night with a very special open-air performance, then on the Saturday, Faithless was joined by Incognito, Stereo MC’s, and Kosheen for a dance music night.
