Hughes Electrical has boosted its fast-expanding rental division with the appointment of Declan Woods as General Manager.
Mr Woods (pictured left) started his career with Hughes in 2012 as a part-time Sales Person in Norwich, while studying at university.
Shortly after going full-time in 2015, he was promoted to Sales Floor Manager in Lowestoft before becoming Branch Manager at North Walsham in 2019. He moved over to the rental side of the business last year.
In his new role, Mr Woods will be responsible for the continuous improvement of the division, based in Ipswich, which has 68,000 customers and over 100,000 items under rental.
“I am looking forward to the exciting challenges that lie ahead,” he said. “We must always ensure customers are provided with the very best levels of service, while working with the already highly motivated management team to improve the overall efficiency of the department.
“Rental is very important to Hughes and one of the four main pillars of the business – along with retail, trade and the web.
“It is becoming an increasingly popular way for people to acquire any electrical item with complete peace of mind – there is no large initial outlay and most future repairs are also taken care of.”
