The winners of this year’s ERT Awards have been announced!
The prestigious ceremony took place last week at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London, celebrating the best and brightest from across the electrical retail sector.
The event was brilliantly hosted by actor and performer, Shaun Williamson, and there was also a charity raffle prize draw, hosted by TRIC Vice Chair, Charlotte Graham-Cumming.

Dorset-based Dacombes of Wimborne picked up the coveted Turning Point Award; the retailer was also awarded the trophy for Best Sustainable Independent Electrical Retailer after a huge project this year to install solar panels, EV charging and LED lighting throughout its store.
Wellingtons Electrical was named Best Independent Domestic Appliances Retailer – Large, while Best Independent Domestic Appliances Retailer – Small went to Empire Kitchens & Appliances.
Best Independent Kitchen Retailer Showroom was awarded to Long Eaton Appliance & Kitchen Company, while Surrey-based RDO won the Best Independent Electrical Retailer Shopfront. The judges commented that these were two tough categories with several high quality entries to choose from.
Meanwhile, in the category for Best Independent Consumer Electronics Retailer – Small, Stuart Westmoreland picked up the trophy, and then Crampton & Moore won Best Independent Consumer Electronics Retailer – Large.
The Sales Excellence Award 2024 went to Bill Radford-Earle from Martins of Hawkhurst; the judges were impressed with Bill’s development in recent years and his contribution to the business through the sale of several high quality kitchen projects.
For one of the newest categories introduced just last year, Best Independent Electrical Retailer – Custom Install, Potters Home Digital picked up the trophy.
And then in the category for Best Independent Electrical Retailer Website, Marks Electrical was the winner.
On the supplier side, Scott Thomson from Electrolux Group received this year’s Sales Representative Award, and Best Supplier Customer Service went to Haier Smart Home UK & Ireland. The Training Provider Award was picked up by Sony.
The trophy for Best Industry Distributor was handed out to D.A.D (Domestic Appliance Distributors) – for the third year in a row!

Blomberg won Best New Product – Major Domestic Appliances for its Freestanding 8kg 1400rpm Washing Machine with Fast Full Load; Smeg was awarded Best New Product – Small Domestic Appliances for its EMC02 Mini Professional Espresso Machine; and Best New Product – Consumer Electronics went to Samsung for its S95D OLED TV.
