Ecogenesys, an industry-leading provider of compliance solutions for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Packaging and Batteries, has announced the launch of the Ecogenesys Training Academy.
Informed by more than 20 years of real-world environmental industry expertise supporting leading UK and International household brands, the training service delivers practical, high quality sustainability training across member organisations and the wider environmental and business sectors.
The Ecogenesys Training Academy will initially deliver three Carbon Literacy Project (CLP) – accredited, Carbon Literacy Training courses.
- CLP-accredited Carbon Literacy for Producer Responsibility
- CLP-accredited Carbon Literacy for the Environmental Sector
- CLP-accredited Carbon Literacy for SMEs
Designed to meet the growing demand from producer organisations and the wider market for trusted, practical training that equips professionals with the knowledge and tools they need to embed sustainability into day-to-day decisions and operations.
New Carbon Literacy Training designed for Ecogenesys Members
The new CLP-accredited Carbon Literacy for Producer Responsibility is a one-day training programme for Ecogenesys compliance members. Built to help members upskill employees with practical, credible learning, the course links Carbon Literacy directly to everyday operations and strategic decision-making. The course features producer-led content, making it relevant, practical and immediately applicable.
Ecogenesys’ tailored Carbon Literacy training cuts through jargon and focuses on relevant, actionable knowledge that can be applied immediately across different roles and teams within member organisations. Ecogenesys members will also benefit from exclusive pricing to make Carbon Literacy Training more accessible and offer the ability to upskill individuals or entire teams at scale. The course saves time, cost and confusion by connecting climate knowledge directly to producer responsibility priorities.
Next step for Ecogenesys
The launch of the Ecogenesys Training Academy is a natural next step for the organisation. A year on from the rebrand to Ecogenesys, the business plans to grow into new markets with complementary environmental services, while continuing to deliver everything in the same trusted, professional way members expect.
Ecogenesys Executive Chairman, Abs Bokhari said: “The launch of the Ecogenesys Training Academy is a direct response to what we’re hearing from our producer members. These organisations are facing growing expectations from regulators, customers and supply chains, and there is a clear need for trusted, industry-led training that helps build internal capability for organisational improvement and to align the organisation with developing consumer and market expectations and standards.
“As a member-owned organisation, expanding our offer in this way creates new opportunities to support members as sustainability becomes an increasingly important part of strategic long-term resilience and decision making.”
Laura Crehan, Head of Operations at Ecogenesys added: ““Our focus in developing the Training Academy has been on delivering practical, high-quality training that works in the real world. Each course has been shaped by our day-to-day compliance expertise, ensuring the content is credible, up to date and grounded in the commercial realities.
“Through our CLP-accredited Carbon Literacy training, including Producer Responsibility-focused courses, we’re giving people the knowledge, confidence and shared language they need to understand climate impacts and take meaningful action in their roles in a way that is proportionate, practical and achievable.”
