Hotpoint has announced that it recently won two awards at the Manufacturer MX Awards in Liverpool.

The appliance manufacturer was the national winner for both the ‘Achieving Customer Value’ as well as ‘People & Skills’ awards; it was the only company to win two awards at the event.

The Manufacturer MX Awards have a combined heritage of over 50 years and are widely regarded as the gold standard in industry awards. They are the only peer-reviewed and judged programme of their kind for UK manufacturing.

For the Achieving Customer Value award, the Hotpoint team demonstrated how a dedication and focus to continuously improve their customer’s journey was the key behind their industry leading TrustPilot scores of 4.7 out of five, and why 94 per cent of Hotpoint consumers would buy the brand again. At the same time, the team demonstrated that the organisation’s end-to-end operation from manufacture, sale, delivery, installation, repair, refurbish and recycle embraced sustainability at every point.

For the People & Skills award, the company’s HR team – backed by colleagues from Consumer Service – showed how the business was built on the strength and dedication of people for more than 112 years. This was then demonstrated with leading edge systems and support programmes such as WeLearn and Be*Well before a tour of the onsite engineer training facility and contact centre agent development programme.

James Goldsmith, Managing Director for Hotpoint (part of Whirlpool Corporation), commented: “We were delighted to win not one but two national Manufacturer MX awards, especially when you consider some of the other companies and strong brands that had been shortlisted. The awards are testament of our commitment to developing our people – which is backed up by being awarded Top Employer status for six years running.”
