Domestic & General (D&G), the leading appliance care specialist, has entered into a long-term partnership with Euronics, Europe’s largest electrical buying group, to launch IndieCare – a new protection plan designed exclusively for its agents.
The agreement opens the opportunity to work with more than 430 independent retailers across the UK, giving them access to a comprehensive insurance solution that strengthens customer relationships, provides additional revenue streams, and supports the UK high street.
IndieCare allows Euronics agents to offer customers peace of mind that their products will be repaired or replaced if something goes wrong, with plans that cover both breakdown and accidental damage. Customers will be able to choose between fixed-term and subscription policies, while repairs can be directed back to the original retailer, ensuring ongoing engagement.
Matthew Crummack, Chief Executive of Domestic & General, said: “We are delighted to partner with Euronics to launch IndieCare. Independent retailers are the backbone of our high streets, and this partnership gives them access to the same trusted protection plans that we already deliver with many of the UK’s biggest brands. IndieCare combines peace of mind for customers with real commercial benefits for Euronics agents, helping to build long-term loyalty and resilience in the sector.”
Kam Kandola, our UK Sales Director says “Our customer research consistently shows that peace of mind and avoiding unexpected repair bills are the main reasons people choose protection plans. IndieCare has been designed with these needs in mind, while also creating new opportunities for independent retailers. We are proud to be supporting Euronics agents and their customers with a robust, simple and trusted solution.”
“We are thrilled to introduce IndieCare,” comments Harry Kyriacou, CEO of CIH. “This partnership with D&G allows us to provide our members with a valuable service that not only enhances customer satisfaction but also presents a significant opportunity for additional revenue. We believe IndieCare will strengthen the bond between retailers and their customers, ensuring long-term loyalty and trust.”
For retailers, IndieCare introduces competitive commission rates on new sales and renewals, creating an additional revenue stream while encouraging repeat business.
Domestic & General currently protects over 22 million appliances worldwide and works in partnership with many of the world’s leading retailers and manufacturers. The addition of Euronics further extends our commitment to supporting independent businesses and the communities they serve.
