Caple gets connected with Wi-Fi cooker collection

Leading kitchen distributor and appliance brand Caple has used this year’s kbb show to launch a collection of smart and connected appliances including a collection of ovens and a new induction hob.

The new, luxury C2600 pyrolytic oven, available in black glass, gunmetal and stainless steel, makes a welcome addition to Caple’s Sense Premium collection, the company says, The oven features sleek touch controls, 23 functions, including the pyro setting, which heats the oven to 475°C and there are 1.25, 1.5 and two-hour cleaning programmes available. There is also a pizza setting, which heats the oven to 345°C in just over two minutes, and a dehydrate option, which will remove moisture from food to dry and preserve it. Fans of slow cooking will love this additional function, too, Caple says, as this enables users to cook over a long period of time at 90°C using conventional heat.

The C990i induction hob features a TFT 7-inch touch screen (pictured left) and innovative Caple Smart pan detection, which allows users to utilise the whole hob surface. It also has 21 power levels including a Keep Warm setting at 70°C. Boil control is just another highly useful function, which will detect rising bubbles and automatically adjust the temperature to 94°C, stopping overflowing and creating stubborn marks on the hob, Caple says.

The sleek, black glass C990i is frameless with a bevelled edge and other settings include Bake at 42°C, Booster and Booster+ functions on every zone and programmable power levels. The C990i induction hob has six programmable timers too, so users can set cooking duration and finishing times on each individual zone up to 99 minutes. There is also an auto-bridge function which links zones, making this ideal when using larger pans.

Product manager Luke Shipway explains: “Our new induction hob is so intuitive it will detect the pan size area and continue the timer if it is set. We’ve also added an incredible TFT touch screen, which uses a clever combination of TFT, LCD display and touch technology to allow you to easily select cooking options on a beautiful, full colour display.”

On the new oven collection, Mr Shipway adds: “We have listened to the market where demand is growing for appliances, which are able to work with smartphone technology. However, we have also responded to the need for appliances armed with functionality, which is more suited for use here in the UK. This is why we have personally designed our own Caple Home app, which is filled with a whole host of features from saving family favourite recipes to setting multi-stage cooking times. We have created this new Sense Premium collection for those who want to make meal times easier, so you can connect to your oven using your smartphone or tablet from another room in your home. Simply scroll through the options and save your favourite settings. Our new technology enables you to take the guess work out of cooking.”
