A Lewes-based not-for-profit has received assistance in expanding its empire with a contribution from Italian brand Bertazzoni.

Margot, a family-run interiors and lifestyle brand that sells sustainably produced items made by artisans from around the world, has received two built-in ovens and two gas hobs from Bertazzoni, a family-run business established in Italy in 1882.

Manufactured at Bertazzoni’s headquarters and donated & delivered free of charge, the products will be used to host sessions for partner organisation, Cook School, an initiative established in 2009 to teach children how to cook delicious food that’s kind to both the planet and their bodies.

All Margot profits support Cook School and the new Bertazzoni appliances will be used to develop dishes and feature in the filming of recipe content.

Founded by children’s food writer, Amanda Grant and husband Kristian Dean, Margot celebrates the home, the rituals of cooking and the joy of gathering with loved ones. Designed by the duo, the brand’s timeless essentials reimagine classic interior pieces that have made shared meals a cherished tradition. Alongside the designs is a carefully curated selection of pieces from independent makers who share their dedication to exceptional craftsmanship.

Margot founder, Amanda Grant, said: “We’re so grateful for the very kind donation from Bertazzoni and feel very proud to be using and showcasing their products at Margot.

“Margot believes cooking together is a pleasure and Bertazzoni makes it even more so.

“Not only do we love the timeless design of the ovens, we also love their ethos and that they are a family run business, like we are.”

Bertazzoni is a family-run business headquartered in northern Italy and its kitchen appliances have always been designed to help people bring the best home-cooked food to the family table.

Paul Whyte, commercial director at Bertazzoni UK Ltd, said: “Bertazzoni’s foundations sit solidly within family and food, so it seemed only right that we do our bit to support a company with similar values – especially as it’s strapline ‘from our home to yours’ resonates so much with ours.

“Cooking and eating meals are very important components of daily life and the work that Margot and Cook School are doing to assist in these areas is admirable and invaluable.

“We hope that people enjoy using our products and the delicious food that they will help to create and we wish Amanda and Kristian every success with their endeavours.”
