Belling backs Long Eaton retailer with in-store party
Cooking appliance manufacturer, Belling, provided a sales boosting in-store party for Long Eaton Appliance Company to mark the 21st birthday of the Belling Cookcentre range cooker.
The Nottinghamshire-based retailer won the party in a national competition, held as part of Belling’s commitment to support independents. Customers were enticed into store for food, drinks and birthday cake as part of the celebrations with the first 30 people through the door receiving a free Belling gift – which included baking sets, Belling Teddy Bears and aprons.

In addition, Long Eaton Appliances was able to offer customers a week of discounts on Belling range cookers.
Dave Rowland, Managing Director of Long Eaton Appliances, was delighted with the turnout. He said: “The event was really well attended, and we had lots of sales, along with plenty of great comments from customers old and new. It is really valuable to receive this kind of support from manufacturers to help support independent retailers like us, especially at what can be a quiet time of the year.”
Jonathan Casley, of Belling’s parent company, Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, said: “The Belling Cookcentre is acknowledged as one of the forerunners of today’s domestic range cooker market and remains very popular after its revamp two years ago. The independent channel is really important to us and so we were delighted to be able to support Dave and his team at Long Eaton with this event.”
