Back to Berlin: IFA returns for 2022

IFA Berlin will return for 2022!

Over five days, from 2 to 6 September, the German expo will bring together global brands across consumer electronics and home appliances. Organisers said the show will once again provide a unique opportunity for the industry to “rebuild” during the run-up to the most important season for retailers worldwide.

They added that many home appliances brands have already signed up for the September trade show.

As before, the concept still combines B2B and B2C elements with products and brands on show for both the industry, for retailers and for consumers. “IFA Berlin is where most of the world’s annual product innovations are unveiled”, organisers said, as the exhibition acts as a giant launch pad before we see these new lines come into stores before the end of the year.

Said Jens Heithecker, IFA Executive Director, Executive Vice President Messe Berlin Group: “It’s finally time to ‘get real’ and once again organise a full-size trade show at the grounds of Messe Berlin and in a city that is not only the capital of Europe’s largest consumer market but evolved as a European media hub as well.

“Many leading global brands have already committed their participation. As of now, we register high demand for the IFA Fitness & Digital Health area and the Home Appliances section.”

Martin Ecknig, CEO Messe Berlin, added that IFA 2022 has the potential to be the “first truly global trade show for the CE industry” since the start of the pandemic…

“The industry has a strong desire to return to an in-person event, and we are committed to making that a reality in Berlin this September in a safe and successful manner.”

Since the start of this month, visitors to Messe Berlin for trade fairs have not had to present any proof of testing, recovery or vaccination. IFA organisers believe there will be little or no regulations by September.
