Hot water tap brand, Quooker is highlighting major environmental and social progress, as shown in its most recent sustainability report – from water conservation and energy savings to circular product design and global clean water access.
Through its long-standing partnership with the Made Blue Foundation, Quooker’s ‘Litre for a Litre’ initiative has now donated 3.65 billion litres of clean drinking water to communities in need since 2015 – equivalent to providing over 50 million people with water for a day.
But the innovation doesn’t stop there. The report also reveals how UK households are actively reducing their carbon footprint by switching to Quooker’s energy-efficient tap systems.
A Quooker tap with a COMBI system can help a household save more than 4000 litres of water per year.
Energy savings of up to 35 per cent are now being achieved across key products, rising to 50 per cent with the COMBI tank.
Almost 23,000 UK households have used Quooker’s Sustainability Check tool to track and reduce their water and energy usage.
“A single Quooker tap can make a genuine difference in the home but when used at scale, it becomes part of a much bigger sustainability story. The potential impact on water conservation and energy use across the UK is huge,” says Stephen Johnson, MD of Quooker UK & Ireland.
Circularity in action
Quooker’s commitment to sustainable product design is matched by its performance in extending product lifespan and cutting waste. As of the latest reporting period:
- 72 per cent of service calls resulted in repairs rather than replacements
- 87 per cent of all company energy usage at group level, including manufacturing and service, now comes from renewable sources.
Looking ahead, Quooker is scaling up its ambitions for 2030 with a bold target to increase energy savings per household by 200 per cent, driven by improved product efficiency. Projected energy reductions across its core systems include:
- 11 per cent for COMBI
- 22 per cent for PRO3
- 35 per cent for CUBE
“Sustainability has been at the heart of Quooker’s mission for years. These results reflect the long-term commitment we’ve made and reinforces our responsibility to keep raising the bar for environmental innovation,” adds Stephen.
With greater demand for sustainable solutions at home and across industry, Quooker’s results show how thoughtful design and bold targets can deliver measurable impact, not just for customers, but for communities around the world.
