Liebherr has launched two new side-by-side appliances to the UK. Introducing models XRCst 5295 and XRCbs 5295, which combine its flagship appliances and leading technological innovations in a single unit.
Offering a stylish and contemporary solution for premium food and wine storage, the new side-by-side appliances boast a fridge, freezer and wine tempering compartment in one. Combining the best technology for long-lasting freshness, an integrated compartment to treasure wine and exceptional design, the new Side-by-Side models are a standout addition to any kitchen.
Designed to combine elegance with practicality, the new side-by-side fridges come in two timeless finishes, Liebherr’s SmartSteel and BlackSteel.
Engineered for freshness
Ensuring optimal food storage, the fridge compartment contains Liebherr’s innovative freshness technologies, BioFresh Professional and HydroBreeze. Scientifically engineered to keep food fresh for up to five times longer than average, BioFresh technology keeps food at temperature just above 0° C by carefully balancing temperature and humidity. The BioFresh drawers create the ideal microclimate to preserve nutritional value and texture far beyond conventional refrigeration. Enhancing this, HydroBreeze delivers a fine, cold mist that covers fruit and vegetables like a protective balm, ensuring crisp freshness and improved structure.
DuoCooling further supports food preservation by using two fully independent cooling circuits that adapt an appliances cooling performance based on usage. This not only improves energy efficiency, but also eliminates the transfer of air, odours and humidity between compartments – keeping food fresher for longer.
Sophisticated wine storage
Extending beyond food storage, the integrated wine tempering compartment holds up to 44 bottles and is designed around the five key principles of professional wine storage:
1. Constant Temperature – Protecting the wine’s character, Liebherr fridges provided double temperature protection thanks to TempProtect Plus, monitoring via two sensors, giving double assurance wine is protected from temperature fluctuations
2. Humidity Control – Built-in HumidityControl lets users set humidity levels between 50% to 80% RH* in each zone. If humidity drops below optimal levels, a notification is triggered to protect cork integrity
3. UV Protection – Preventing unfavourable ageing processes from taking place, the wine tempering compartment features a unique triple-layered tinted UV-protective glass and a double layer of vacuum-deposited metal
4. Odour Prevention – Charcoal filters ensure a constant supply of fresh air helping neutralise foreign odours, preventing any change in taste. The appliance gives a reminder to change the filter every six months
5. Vibration-free Storage – Thanks to a holistic vibration-insulated cooling system, wine is allowed to mature undisturbed
With two individually adjustable temperature zones ranging from +5 °C to +20 °C and four adaptable wooden shelves mounted on telescopic rails, customers can easily customise storage to suit any wine collection – perfect for wine enthusiasts who want a dedicated, temperature-controlled space within their fridge-freezer combination.
Intuitive features, elegant design
Both models come equipped with InfinitySpring, offering filtered water on demand, and an automatic IceMaker for fresh ice. They also both feature a touch display, and they can be connected to Liebherr’s SmartDevice app; enabling customers to control their fridge or freezer from anywhere in the world via a smartphone or tablet.
From remote temperature adjustments to real-time alerts, the SmartDevice app keeps users informed and in control, whether they’re at work, on holiday or prepping for a food shop. Features like SuperCool and SuperFreeze automatically lower internal temperatures to prepare the appliance for new food loads – preserving freshness and preventing temperature fluctuations when doors are opened.
Pair this with NoFrost, Liebherr’s automatic defrosting system, and customers will never have to manually defrost again. As soon as ice begins to form, internal sensors activate the defrosting process – saving time, energy and hassle.
Additionally, for a seamless experience, the new side-by-side appliances feature soft-close doors and drawers on telescopic rails that provide gentle and quiet operation.
